How PDFit Works
PDFit creates one PDF from existing PDF documents, images and camera photos directly inside your web browser.
Your files stay on your device throughout the process. They are not uploaded to a PDFit server.
Add your files
Choose PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP files. On a compatible mobile device you can also use the camera option to take a photo and add it as a page.
Arrange them
Each source file appears as an item. Drag items on desktop or use the reorder arrows on mobile. Existing multi-page PDFs stay together as one draggable item and their internal page order is preserved.
Create one PDF
When you click Create PDF, PDF pages are copied into the final document and images are converted into clean PDF pages. The finished document is generated locally in your browser.
What happens to existing PDFs?
Existing PDF pages are merged directly rather than converted into screenshots, helping preserve their original page content and quality.
What happens to images and camera photos?
Images are placed onto clean A4-style pages while preserving their aspect ratio. PDFit automatically chooses portrait or landscape orientation based on the image.
Is the camera a document scanner?
On compatible devices, Take photo opens PDFit's document camera. PDFit looks for a page outline live, draws a border around the detected sheet, then perspective-corrects and cleans the page after capture. If page detection is not available or no document is found, you can still capture or use the phone's ordinary camera.
Privacy
Because processing happens locally in your browser, PDFit does not receive, view or store the documents you combine.
Practical limits
PDFit does not impose a server upload limit because files are not uploaded. Very large jobs can still be limited by your device's available memory and browser capabilities.
